Description
The Kirkham Gallery at the River & Rowing Museum will hold a contemporary art installation by the creative partnership brook & black. Using Gericault's famous painting The Raft of the Medusa as a touchstone, the artists have responded to themes of the river, flood, climate change and loss. Using video, sculpture and sound they will create a poetic, multi-layered art installation that reaches beyond the interior gallery space. Brook and black have recently exhibited in France, Germany, and most recently at the Wallace Collection, London.
