Description
Reading has too often been dismissed as being a modern place with little history. This exhibition shows that our 'much-maligned town' is a fascinating and diverse place with its own unique character and long history.
Each letter, from A to Z, is illustrated by some well-known and some more unexpected objects and artworks from the Museum's extensive collection of local history, art and archaeology. So expect to find everything from a barber's shop to a Boar's Head in this exhibition.
It's also your chance to share your views and memories by telling us what you would have included in the A to Z.
