How to get there
Windsor Castle, the largest and oldest occupied castle in the world, is one of the official residences of Her Majesty The Queen. The Castle's dramatic site encapsulates 900 years of British history. It covers an area of 26 acres and contains, as well as a royal palace, a magnificent chapel and the homes and workplaces of a large number of people.
Description
Follow an activity trail through the State Apartments to find out lots of interesting facts about armour as you explore the pieces worn by knights and kings, return to the Moat Education Room and design your own armour using ideas from those you saw during your visit to the Castle.
Visit the Castle over the weekend (20/21 February) and try on various pieces from our replica armour collection. Sessions take place in the Moat Education Room at 12.00 and 14.00.
For more information visit the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead website.
