The River and Rowing Museum is offering lots of fun filled activities for children during the Easter School Holiday.

Pom Pom Chick Chick

Tuesday 8 April
Age 4 – 7

Back by popular demand for Easter 2008. Pom poms are easy to make from wool and turn into fluffy little chicks!

Egg your Egg on

Wednesday 9 April
11am - 4pm
Free with Museum admission

This popular day is great fun for everyone. How far can you move your egg - on water or on land without it breaking!Compete in our Great Egg Challenge to build an egg moving machine, and see whose egg travels the furthest or fastest. All materials provided -but secret ingredients are welcome.

Animals in Print

Thursday 10 April
Age 7 – 11

Get inspiration from the Museum’s natural history collection of animals and fish and spend a whole day printmaking using block-printing and screen-printing on fabric and paper. Wear old clothes and bring a packed lunch.

Flower Baskets

Learn how to make a pretty bunch of Spring flowers out of coloured paper and wire and fill a little basket. A perfect present for this time of year.

Hooray for Hippo...Piñata Party

Have you seen the pink hippo on a flag fluttering over Henley It is the mascot for one of the rowing clubs. Come and spot it in the Henley Gallery, then make a party piñata in the shape of a pink hippo. This is a hollow box filled with sweets. You hit it with a piñata stick until all the sweets come out then you eat them.

Taylor Tug Easter Holiday Happening

Come & enjoy the Spring with Taylor Tug creating exciting things inspired by the Museum. Interactive sessions for parents to enjoy with their children.

Have a Family Day with Birds of Prey

Free with Museum Admission

Get up close and personal with falcons, eagles and owls from Chiltern Hills Falconry. Watch their aerobatics during two 30 minute flying displays and swoop off any time to get creative with bird masks and other avian activities.

Teddy on Thames

Easter is the time when the new boating season begins. You can make a boathouse for a Teddy with boxes and a little punt to put inside it. Have a look at a punt in the Thames Gallery.
