Kingston town centre sets the stage with an eclectic mix of music, dance and community entertainment at the annual May Merrie.
There’s something for all the family with the War Memorial Gardens transforming into Kingston First Kids Kingdom. Free activities include a children’s farm, bouncy castle, circus skills, face painting, craft workshops, and balloon modelling.
Music to suit all tastes will fill the town, embracing traditional May Day entertainment, Big Band music, soulful jazz, sounds of the Caribbean and toe tapping tunes from an array of performances by local community groups and professional artists.
A mix of zany street entertainers including wacky walkabouts and crazy stilt walkers will roam the town centre, accompanied by the fun and games of comedy street shows, traditional Punch and Judy, to entertain children and adults alike.
