Description

The Thames Ditton Regatta is one of the first of a series of regattas held in the rowing season each year and is popular with young and old, alike. Athletes come from far and wide, as well as the local community, to compete in a number of different races held under Amateur Rowing Association rules. We hope that you will enjoy the spectacle which unfolds throughout the day ending in a series of exciting finishes to determine the winners of each class.

The Regatta races are rowed upstream along a buoyed course established on the Thames Ditton side of the river, opposite the Hampton Court Palace. The races start at Boyle Farm Island and end at the Finish located alongside the River Mole, 150 metres from Hampton Court Bridge. The Regatta enclosure is situated here on the lawn, which also contains the and Beer Tents. Spectators are welcome. The Enclosure can be reached on land by walking to the end of Aragon Avenue, off Summer Road, Thames Ditton KT7 0PY - Bus no. 514 from Thames Ditton Station.
