Walking

Take a stroll along the Thames Path, the 184 miles (294 km) national trail stretching from the River Thames source in the Cotswolds to almost the sea.
Passing through peaceful water meadows, unspoilt rural villages, historic towns and cities, and finally cutting through the heart of London to finish at the Thames Barrier in Greenwich. It is one of only 13 National Trails in England. For detailed information about the Thames Path call the National Trails Office visit www.nationaltrail.co.uk or call on 01865 810224.

Easy walks
To encourage everyone to make the most of the Thames Path, the Thames Path National Trail office and Environment Agency have recently published 12 access walks along different parts of the River Thames. They all have level and wide paths, gentle slopes and rest areas.
Each walk comes with a handy map and details about distance, type of surface and where to find accessible local refreshments and toilets, so everyone can decide which walks are right for them.
