The River & Rowing Museum

We offer creative and cross curricular opportunities to learn in a new and stimulating environment.  Our service to schools provides a range of courses covering many areas of the National Curriculum.  There are qualified staff to help you plan your visit, and a purpose built Education Centre.

Description of site
The River of Rowing Museum is an award winning museum beside the Thames which opened in 1998 to interpret the three themes of the River Thames, the sport of Rowing, and the development of the town of Henley. Additionally the story of Wind in the Willows is brought to life through an audio guided attraction. There is a varied temporary exhibition programme
Thames resources
During Museum opening hours: A permanent gallery displaying the archaeology, social history, natural history, and geography of the River Thames from source to estuary. An evocation of the Wind in the Willows tales through audio guide and scenes.
