Lock and weir fishing

The River Thames lock and weir fishing permit offers 18 sites on the River Thames that have fast-flowing water for an exciting fishing experience.
Permits cost only £28.50 for adults and £18.90 for Senior Citizens and Juniors (up to 14 years) and come with a ‘buddy card’ that allows you to take a friend fishing 3 times a year. Check out the Environment Agency Lock and Weir permit FAQs for the answers to common queries.
Fishing is subject to the closed season and you will need a valid rod licence. Read our rod licence pages for more information.
