Beale Park Thames Boat Show 2007

Pangbourne-on-Thames, June 8th - Sunday, June 10th

The promise of summer is on its way as the River Thames prepares for the Beale Park Thames Boat Show 2007, in Lower Basildon, Reading. Three fun-packed days from June 8 to 10 offer families and boat lovers a tantalising taste of life on the water.

Displaying every type of boat, from canoes and dinghies to classic wooden boats and luxury motor cruisers, there is something for everyone with displays on the lake, traditional boat building demonstrations, arts and crafts and the chance to get afloat with free river trips.

You can mess about in a canoe, rowing boats and sailing craft or if you are interested in test-driving or buying a boat you can Try-a-Boat, organised by the Thames Boating Trades Association.

The show is a fun day out for all the family with lots of attractions and amusements. Children will love the fun games and activities provided by the Environment Agency whilst adults can enjoy a drink from the bar and settle down by the lake and relax listening to the sounds of summer.

Getting there

Beale Park is located at Lower Basildon, 6 miles from Reading on the A329 between Pangbourne and Streatley. Leave the M4 at J12 (Theale) and follow the brown tourist signs. Car parking is FREE. For a map please see www.bealepark.co.uk.

Beale Park is an award winning charity, voted Best Bird Centre of the Year 2004 and Berkshire Family Attraction of the Year 2004 by the Good Britain Guide 2004. Established 45 years ago and now a charitable trust, the park covers over 300 acres of organic water meadows and is a Rare Breeds Survival Trust approved centre. There is a wonderful collection of birds and animals, paddling pools and much more. Beale Park also has the national Collection of Model Boats.
