It's safe and easy to take to the water on the Thames.

If you’ve never been in charge of a boat before there is no need to worry – you’ll get full instruction before you move off and every lock has a helpful and friendly lock keeper at hand with advice.

Daily/hourly hire

Most companies offer day boats and many offer rowing boats, skiffs, canoes and dinghies, so no matter how energetic you're feeling there is something out there for you.

Weekly hire

Many boats are equipped with home-from-home comforts. They offer hot water, showers, flushing toilets, modern kitchens, a high standard of furnishings and comfortable sleeping arrangements. Your hire boat operator will explain everything and give you full advice about cruising, mooring and using the locks.

Special occasions

Want an office party with a difference, an unusual wedding reception or do you just feel like throwing a party to remember? Then charter your own boat complete with crew and skipper.

Hotel boats

Want the fun of travelling along the river, but don’t want to bother with the cooking and cleaning?
