Have a scream at river events
Go quackers!
Organisers of the Great British Duck Race not only smashed the Guinness World Record last year with the world's biggest charity duck race but also managed to raise hundreds of thousands of pounds for various charities. Now they’re trying to beat their own record by floating a quarter of a million bright yellow plastic ducks!
Why not adopt a duck for the race on Sunday 31 August on the Thames at Hampton Court? Go along to bask in the sunshine while you cheer on your duck and have a great time. For more information go to their website.
Treat your feet!
Walking is one of the best free ways to enjoy the River Thames. Enjoy a leisurely stroll or ramble along the Thames Path National Trail and on the way why not enjoy a spot of fishing at one of the free fishing spots? Click here for a full list of free fishing sites along the river.
