Walking Breaks on the River Thames
With a choice of hotels, B&Bs, campsites and youth hostels, most well served by public transport, the Thames Path is perfect for walking holidays of any distance, duration or budget.
The Thames Path National Trail Companion guide and the National Trails website, provide practical information about accommodation, facilities, distances, transport and other aspects of the route from a three week holiday to a day out with the dog.
A good idea on a walking holiday is to send your luggage on ahead. Symbols in the Companion guide show accommodation providers who will take your luggage to the next night's stop. Or you can organise a walking holiday with one of the companies listed below, which includes accommodation and luggage transfer. Holidays are available all year round. En suite accommodation is generally provided on a B&B basis in hand-picked guest houses or small hotels along the trail.
Most companies also include the following in their prices: a map of the route, guidebook, travel instructions to and from the start and finish route, and an emergency contact.
