Markets Along The Thames
The historic towns and villages along the River Thames provide a wealth of markets, some going back many centuries.
Henley
Henley-on-Thames is a market town, and has held regular markets since the 13th century. Today there are three regular markets taking place in the appropriately named Market Place.
- The Charter Market - This takes place every Thursday
- The Farmers’ Market - This takes place on the 2nd Saturday and 4th Thursday of the month 8am-1.30pm.
- The Craft Market - This takes place on the 4th Sunday of the month from 9am-3pm. Unless there is a bank holiday Monday when it will take place on the 3rd Sunday of the month.
Marlow
- Marlow Market (Artisan Food & Crafts on the Causeway) takes place 1st and 3rd Saturday of every month (only 3rd Saturday in January), from 10 am until 3 pm.
- Marlow Artisan Market at Liston Court everr 2nd & 4th Saturdays for a 3 month trial / 10am-3pm starting from 8 March 2025
Windsor
- Windsor Independent Market in Peascod Street takes place on the third Saturday and Sunday of the month.
- Maidenhead High Street Produce Market on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
- Maidenhead Farmers' Market, Grove Road (second Sunday of the month).
- Ascot Farmers' Market, Racecourse Car Park 3 (third Sunday of the month).
- Cookham Dean Metre Market. Weekly Friday morning markets.
- Vegan Fiestas, organised by Sparkle Vegan Events, take place in Windsor (four times a year) and Maidenhead (three times a year).
Reading
- Reading's Farmers Market runs on the first and third Saturday morning of each month on Great Knolly's Street.
- Street food markets offer alfresco dining with some of the very best traders in the South East. You’ll find them serving delicious lunchtime treats every Wednesday and Friday in Market Place and from Thursday-Sunday in Hosier Street.
