Visit Thames Marketing Partnership
The River Thames is an incredible leisure and tourism resource and adds the ‘wow’ factor to every visit. Everybody has heard of it, but our research shows they don’t know where it is, how to find it or where to go to find out what it has to offer.
The Visit Thames Marketing Partnership (VTMP) is a public/private sector partnership dedicated to promoting the River Thames – from the source through London to the sea. Partners include attractions, trade associations, businesses, hotels, transport companies and public sector bodies who have the common goal of promoting the River Thames. By joining forces to promote day trips, short breaks and holidays on or near the River Thames, we aim to rejuvenate the river and establish it as a leading visitor destination.
KR Tourism Ltd manages the partnership on behalf of VTMP, reporting to the Steering Group. Jonathan Hobbs, MD of Hobbs of Henley has now taken on the role of Chair of the Partnership and the Steering Group consists of:
• Hobbs of Henley (Chair)
• Macdonald Compleat Angler
• Runnymede-on-Thames Hotel
• British Marine
• Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead
• National Trails (The Thames Path)
• River Thames Alliance
• Tourism South East
The aim of the partnership is to promote the River Thames as a destination.
Objective: To provide a source of information, inspiration and a marketing tool for the promotion of the River Thames.
