River Thames Marinas & Services

When travelling on the River Thames, it’s essential to know where all the services and facilities are – whatever your needs, there’ll be a place nearby to help.

From where to refuel or service your boat to where you can permanently moor it, you’ll find all the information you need here. Use the search box on the right to search a selection of the marinas and services situated along the River Thames.

Marinas offer a range of facilities and services for yachts and small boats.  As well as moorings you may also find facilities for refuelling, marine and boat chandlers, stores and restaurants and even an opportunity to buy your own boat.

Shepperton Marina is a good place to fill up offering petrol and diesel. Look out for those marinas with a Gold Anchor rating. The scheme has been designed by The Yacht Harbour Association, with contribution from the RYA, to help boat owners make an informed decision on where to berth.

The River Thames offers a great choice for those looking to have a boat restored or a new one built and the long established boatyards along the Thames also offer many other services.

Enjoy a visit to a Thames Marina

Most of the marinas along the River Thames can be found in country park or tranquil garden settings along some of the loveliest reaches of the Thames.  A great place for a walk, a picnic, or lunch alongside the river. You can even buy your picnic at The Local Larder at Willow Marina.  Or enjoy the relaxed bistro atmosphere at riverside restaurants such as the Riverside Brasserie at Bray Marina or GoGos at Racecourse Marina, Windsor.

Thames Marinas Win Top Rating

MDL Marinas' three Thames marinas – Bray, Windsor and Penton Hook - have scored Five Gold Anchors status from The Yacht Harbour Association. The assessments included a mystery shop, berth holders survey and an audit against a wide selection of criteria, offering a review of the services and facilities available.

Mike Gates, General Manager of MDL’s Thames marinas, said: “We are delighted to have achieved the highest standard possible from The Yacht Harbour Association, and by gaining a Five Gold Anchor standard across all three of our Thames marinas is outstanding! This is a huge achievement and demonstrates the consistent quality MDL Marinas offers.”

Bray, Windsor and Penton Hook marinas scored highly for their design, construction and operation and have all been highlighted as credible, quality marinas.
