About
This family run brewery was founded by Chris and Vanessa Hearn in 2002 and is situated on the rural estate of Lord Phillimore. The brew plant is set in a beautiful 300-year-old barn which is capable of producing up to 100 brewers barrels (28,800 pints) of beer each week.
Loddon Brewery has appeared in Midsomer Murders the ‘Night of the Stag’ episode. Filming took place in May 2011, when they were turned into a cider producer and some poor chap was found floating in a vat full of the stuff in the brewhouse. They even have their own Night of the Stag beer which is available to buy in the shop or online.
The new Loddon Taproom has been opened where you can sample a pint of Loddon beer straight from the source. As well as three changing Loddon ales, there is also a varying beer from other local breweries. There is seating inside or when the weather is good enjoy a pint outdoors.
The Brewery Shop stocks eight bottled beers, Loddon merchandise and preserves as well as a choice of containers sizes for the draught beers. Other local produce is also available including Mr Hobbs Gin, Tutts Clump Cider, Dinton Wines, Horsebox coffee and more besides!
