Walk with a pub stop!
Sometimes when we walk on the Thames Path we work up quite a thirst and it is a welcome sight when we spy a pub on the horizon.
The Brakspear family have been running pubs for over 200 years, many of which sit on or near fabulous walking trails, including the Thames Path. In 2017 Brakspear had the cracking idea of making their ‘Pub Trails’ available on an app to make it easy for people to take a walk with a guaranteed refreshment stop on route. What could be better?!
The app now features over 200 circular walks, which start and finish at a pub, across Brakspear’s Oxfordshire and Berkshire heartland. As well as walks it also shows allof the beautiful Brakspear pubs so you can find your nearest one when you’re visiting somewhere new.
Interested in finding our more? All Brakspear Pub Trails (created in partnership with the Trust for Oxfordshire’s Environment (TOE2) and Henley Town Council) are available on a free GPS app that pinpoints the user’s precise GPS location and overlays each route on detailed maps that can be used without phone signal.
