Explore London’s rivers from the Thames Path National Trail

Did you know the Thames Path National Trail is signposted on the north and south banks of the River Thames through London. But the Thames is not the only river in London!

Discover many of the other important rivers of London such as the Wandle, Lea, Fleet and Crane during London Rivers Week from 30 May to 8 June.

This annual campaign offers free events under the theme ‘quality rivers for all’ including guided walks, talks and cultural activities. There are events for families, children and individuals.

London’s rivers are an important natural asset, containing iconic species such as brown trout, kingfishers, and water voles. They also connect important green places for wildlife and people, bringing nature to the very heart of the city.

Climate change and pollution emphasise how important our rivers and green spaces are, and what we can all do to look after them.
