What could be a better way to spend a day of the half term than getting out of the house and taking a stroll in the great outdoors!
The Thames Path makes a great destination for family walks, with wildlife to spot, the calm river water to gaze at and plenty of refreshment stops to take advantage of.
Why not try one of these suggested walks in Wallingford. Brakspear, a family run pub estate, have created a series of trails that start and end at the Coachmakers Arms Pub, so you know there is definitely going to be a refreshment stop at the end of your exercise!
You can choose from 3 different walks, all of which spend some of their route on the Thames Path National Trail. The link below will take you to a map of the routes, which give you plenty of choice in distances:
Red Route (1): Wallingford Town Route - 3.4km (2.1 miles), Time: 1-2 hours
Purple Route (2): Wallingford – Mongewell Park – Sheepcote Farm – Ridgeway - 9.9km (6.1 miles). Time: 2-3 hours
Blue Route (3): Wallingford – Cholsey – Winterbrook -10.8km (6.7 miles). Time: 2.5-3 hours
